CIA Design of Pressure Reduction

A saying that you might have heard a great deal operational, in sports, and human performance generally is controlling the controllable. What does that really mean? I wanted to take this concept of manipulating the controllable, which can be actually really good advice mind you, and take it out with the an entire world of as a cliché and in to the realm of something we are able to actually do.
In our workshops we'll use something referred to as the CIA Model to help students gain idea of this concept minimizing stress in their lives. It's pretty straightforward this model so here's the short form.
CIA means Control Influence Accept. All in the circumstances and situations that we find ourselves in will fall into one of these three categories. I am going to discuss them in reverse order.
There is definitely an enormous number of things in our world that people must accept. Weather, traffic patterns, scores and outcomes of games that people're not actually playing in. One with the best things that people can do for the own satisfaction is always that when there's something we should accept, is basically in order to accept it not waste any injury trying to change it out.
The second category are things that people influence. The two big items that fall under this will be the immediate environment, your car or truck, work, your own home, and others that you simply take care of. Listen, and we don't have total control over our kids, our colleagues, etc, but we all do have influence over them, and something with the best issues that you're able to do for your growth is always that in circumstances in places you have influence to really exercise that influence will dramatically improve your self-esteem.
Now we arrived at the category of things we are able to control. We're here to discuss controlling the controllable. Well, guess what happens, folks? I've found that there's really only one thing one of several things that individuals read more can control. It's your decisions.
That's right, your decisions about your lifetime are the only thing that we even have direct control over. When you realize this, it will become sort of confronting and kind of liberating all at the same time. What do you do using this information, how the only thing that I have total control over are the decisions that I make?
Stop trying to control items that you don't have any treatments for. Amazing in my opinion how much energy people waste trying to control issues that they maybe have influence over, however in many cases should just accept. I'll also point out that in terms of issues that you've zero influence over, I wouldn't spend a lot of time talking or complaining about them. It's only a drain on your own energy. Are you catching yourself attempting to control things that you want to just accept? Notice that, and I would change your mind on that.
When you realize the only thing you have complete control over can be your decisions, assume responsibilty to the decision-making process. I'm not saying to blame yourself when things come out poorly. I am saying it takes responsibility for your decision that you make. That's when you commence controlling the controllables and seeing the final results that you just really need to see.
I don't play a whole lot of poker, but one thing that I have heard is winning at cards, specifically poker, has a touch to do with they that you simply are dealt, and it carries a huge amount related to how we make decisions and play them that you just're dealt. Same thing applies to your daily life. Life truly is 10 percent what are the results to us and 90 percent how you react.
